Security
Features
We provide a number of additional security features in online banking. For example, online banking will "timeout" after a specified period of inactivity. This prevents curious persons from continuing your online banking session if you left your PC unattended without logging out. We recommend that you always Log Off when done banking online.
Enhanced Security Login
The enhanced security login is free and an easy feature to help prevent online fraud. This superior security technology protects your accounts from unauthorized access. It identifies you as the true “owner” of your accounts by recognizing not only your password but your computer or other internet enabled devices as well. If we don’t recognize your computer - you’ve logged in from a public computer or one you haven’t used before, for example – we’ll ask you a challenge question as an additional line of defense to prevent unauthorized access. With enhanced security login, you’ll be protected from whatever computer you’re using, whether you’re at home or on the go. The enhanced security login will:
· Defend against identity theft and fraud.
· Provide security when using any computer, wherever you are.
· Make it easy for you to bank online anytime, anywhere.
Authorization
It is important to verify that only authorized persons log into online banking. This is achieved by verifying your password. When you submit your password, it is compared with the password we have stored in our secure data center.
We guard against fraudulent entry by locking access to your accounts after the third time an ID or Password is entered incorrectly. Account access can be easily unlocked upon a confirmed request from you.
You play a crucial role in preventing others from logging on to your account. Never use easy-to-guess passwords. Examples:
· Birthdates
· First Names
· Pet names
· Addresses
· Phone numbers
· Social Security Numbers
Never reveal your password to another person. You will be prompted to change your Password every 90 days.
E-mail
Regular, non-encrypted Internet e-mail may not be secure. For security reasons, we recommend that you use e-mail only for general inquires that do not involve sensitive or confidential information. If you are uncertain about the security of e-mail or the confidentiality of any message, you can contact us by phone at 1-619-422-5300, by mail at Vibra Bank, 530 Broadway Chula Vista, CA 91910, or by visiting us in person.
