CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATON PROGRAM NOTICE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT

To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents.      

NOTICE OF EXPIRATION OF THE TEMPORARY UNLIMITED FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR NONINTEREST-BEARING TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS 

By operation of federal law, beginning January 1, 2013, funds deposited in a noninterest-bearing transaction account (including an Interest on Lawyer Trust Account) no longer will receive unlimited deposit insurance coverage by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Beginning January 1, 2013, all of a depositor's accounts at an insured depository institution, including all noninterest-bearing transaction accounts, will be insured by the FDIC up to the standard maximum deposit insurance amount ($250,000), for each deposit insurance ownership category.

SECURE AND FAIR ENFORCEMENT FOR MORTGAGE LICENSING ACT (S.A.F.E Act)

The Secure & Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act), requires mortgage loan originators and their employing institutions to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMSL). Each employee of a financial institution who acts as a mortgage loan originator must register with the Registry, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain this registration in accordance with the requirements of the S.A.F.E Act.
